One of my favorite toys to make was the roly-poly. It was so fun to play with it (and it still is!). As the Wikipedia says, "the roly-poly, round-bottomed doll, tilting doll, tumbler or wobbly man is a round-bottomed toy, usually egg-shaped, that tends to right itself when pushed at any angle". It seems to defy gravity!
So I decided to make a crochet wobbly man. It couldn't be that difficult, right? No, it really wasn't! It's super easy and fun! And today I'm going to teach you how to make your own amigurumi roly-poly toy. The one I designed looks like a circus strongman, but I encourage you to let your imagination fly and create many different characters. Let's fill the world with dancing handmade toys!
It is ideal for children, pets and even as a toy for yourself! I can't stop making it wobble as I type!
